When did you start using Dublin Stove Fitters?
We've been recommending Andrew as a stove fitter to our customers for 3 years.
What type of work is involved?
Fitting all types of stoves for our customers. We supply stoves from our shop in Co. Meath and we recommend a number of certified fitters to our customers. Dublin Stove Fitters are one of our recommended fitters.
What is the process?
When we talk to customers in the store, we also give them a list of certified fitters to arrange a callout. If they ring Andrew he will visit the house, go through all the options with the customer, do all the measurements and then send a list to ourselves for pricing. If the customer is happy to go ahead, Andrew will come and pick up everything and do the job.
It's important that customers get a fitter to visit the house before they buy a stove to make sure that the stove is suitable for their room and will meet building regulations on hearth size, etc. Often customers are just thinking about the stove.
What's been your experience of Dublin Stove Fitter's service?
A lot of the fitters just do the fitting. The fact that Andrew is also a builder and has a team of tradespeople makes a big difference and means he is very flexible. For example, he can make an opening or widen an opening, fit fireplaces, fit the mantle, install stone cladding and plaster. He has an electrician so he can do electrical stoves too.
Andrew will do everything according to the building regulations. And he's VAT registered so customers can benefit from VAT back schemes like the HRI scheme.
Would you recommend Dublin Stove Fitter?
Yes of course. That's what we do! We put our name on the line too when we recommend any fitter to customers. I'm happy to say we haven't heard any complaints.
And he responds fast. We notice that when we recommend a customer to Andrew, he will try to visit them the same day or the day after. Customers like that too, they don't want to wait once they've made the decision.
